First dates

A good first date starts with curiosity.

Questions that open a conversation without turning it into an interview.

Begin with something easy

Ask what made their week enjoyable or what they like doing on an unplanned afternoon. Listen to the answer before deciding what to ask next.

Follow the detail that matters

If someone mentions cooking, ask what they enjoy about it. The reason behind an interest often tells you more than the activity itself.

Finish with clarity

If you enjoyed meeting, say so. Suggest another plan only if you mean it. If the connection does not feel right, a short, kind message is enough.
